SNOWSHOEING IN VAL DI FIEMME: Malga Cugola Alta - Jochgrimm

The offer we propose for your ski holiday in Val di Fiemme is varied and surprising. We offer many different activities for the whole family: from children's entertainment to holistic and relaxing experiences and unforgettable sporting activities. Together we also go snowshoeing on the slopes of Corno Nero in the area of the Oclini Pass with a view of the breathtaking view of the Dolomites. Today we'll tell you about the route and directions if you feel like exploring these magical forests on your own.

The route is extremely relaxing and safe, it runs between trees and plants and can be walked even after heavy snowfall, as there is no danger of avalanches.

You start at Passo Oclini and follow the circular trail back to the starting point.

With the snowshoes on your feet, you are ready to go! Behind the Hotel Jochgrimm, you descend along the left edge of a ski slope. At an altitude of 1,900 m, we see a tree on the left edge of the slope indicating trail no. 4 to Malga Cugola.

We follow the signs in the trees and soon come under a chairlift. We continue uphill through a beautiful pine forest. The trail continues into a gorge and, after losing some altitude, reaches the Cugola Pass. From the pass, the path descends gently along the southern slope, sometimes free of snow, where there is a barn on the right and Malga Cugola Alta on the left.

We take a breath and let ourselves be carried away by the wonders of these landscapes....

For the way back, we climb up to the Cugola Pass and descend to Malga Cugola Bassa. From here, we take the forest road on the right, which leads first uphill and then slightly downhill to the valley station of the Doladizza chairlift. We ascend to the Isi hut and continue uphill on the trail that leads back to the Oclini pass.

Afterwards we return to the hotel together and enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation with a herbal tea or hot chocolate!
