At Eco Park Hotel Azalea, wellness is sustainable, in all its forms!
Today we present the hotel's wellness centre, which has all the features that can be called "eco-friendly".
We admit that it is not always easy to come up with 100% environmentally sustainable ideas, because they require an extra effort that we definitely want to put in for the sake of our planet.
Sustainability is also in the little things, and it is by starting with seemingly insignificant habits that we can slowly build a new awareness and a new environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
We too started with small things and can now say that we have created something big: an ecologically sustainable hotel! Thanks to our love for the environment and with the help of technology, we are able to offer our guests a totally sustainable holiday experience in Trentino without sacrificing comfort! The energy we use, the cuisine we offer, the green building with which the hotel is constructed, the products we use are all ethical and sustainable, as is the wellness centre.... strange but true!
Our wellness centre is really environmentally friendly, that's why:
The energy used for the various machines in the Wellness Centre is 100% renewable (read the 2021 energy report).
The water and the rooms are heated by a district heating system.
The cold water fountain, which is a real treat after a sauna session or steam bath, is connected to a water recycling system. In fact, the water ends up in the cistern, which also collects rainwater and is used to irrigate the garden and flush the toilet.
The heat is not distributed but channelled to heat the bathrooms and common rooms.
The SPA is only switched on at the times requested by the guests so that the wellness centre does not idle and waste energy.
The slippers provided are fully biodegradable.
The wood in the sauna is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.
The washing of the bathrobes and sauna towels is contracted out to a social cooperative that employs people with difficulties and traumatic immigration histories.
The decoration was done by the OLTRE cooperative, which works for the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
The essential oils used are produced at km 0 by Terre Altre and Magnifica Essenza (more information).
The herbal teas that can be enjoyed in the relaxation room come from herbs grown and dried at 1200 m altitude and produced 30 km from Cavalese by Carmen Braun.
To listen to relaxing music from your mobile phone, you will not find an ordinary speaker, but the CUBO VAIA, a designer speaker made from the wood of trees felled during Vaia 2018.
