1 - Relaxing walk in the park of Pieve di Cavalese

2,7 km

1 h

From Piazza Verdi we walk along Viale Mendini, then Via della Pieve and finally Via Bresadola.

After a paved section, the road becomes unpaved. This walk for children follows the route of the old railway that connected Auer in South Tyrol with Cavalese in Val di Fiemme. If you continue, you will enter the railway tunnel and then again in the middle of the meadows.

Going back up Via Cavazal, turn left at the ice stadium and walk along the pavement until you reach the small house. From here, take the stairs to the playground, where the children can take a short break to enjoy themselves. Then take the road to the left towards the bar and continue the picturesque walk to the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption and the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows. From here, take the avenue with the thousand-year-old lime trees back to the starting point.

2 - Easy panoramic hike in Cavalese in Val di Fiemme

2 km

2 h

Coming from Cavalese, the starting point of the trail is at the rest area on the left of the provincial road, at the beginning of the Tesero tunnel. The first 100 metres of the trail run along the road, then it climbs up into a hazel forest. The well-signposted path leads to the Torretta della Lucianella. After admiring the autumnal panorama, descend the steps and continue along the flat road dedicated to Arturo Deleonardi. You can discover the story of this notary of Cavalese engraved in the stone in front of the climbing wall. At the end of the small road is a cobbled street from which a staircase leads to the highest point of the hike, the pagoda. Ignoring the signs for "Passeggiata degli Alpini" and "Strada del Fen", we continue northwards, crossing a small wooden bridge and a pretty pine forest to reach Via Valle downhill.

Always following the signs, you tackle the last climb of the hike and reach Coronelle, where you can take a break on a romantic bench. The descent towards Cavalese along the well-marked path leads to Via Matteotti and ends in the central Piazza Dante, opposite the Church of San Vigilio.

3 - In the middle of the meadows and woods of Val di Fiemme in Daiano

(loc. Ganzaie)

4,7 km

1:30 h

From the church in Daiano, take Via Tommaso, climb up to Piazza Degasperi, walk along Vicolo Scuole and turn right into Via Colonia, which you follow until you reach the sports ground. At the end of the climb, just after the aqueduct, turn left towards the Way of Life and follow the road for about a kilometre until you reach another aqueduct. From here, take the road on the left, signposted "Ganzaie", and turn right onto the asphalt road, which you follow for 200-300 metres. Then turn left onto the road that leads down to two secluded houses and follow the road until you reach the Speckhof farm, where you can have a delicious snack.

From here, take the tarmac road back to Daiano.

These are just three of the many hikes you can take to see the foliage in Val di Fiemme! They are all easy hikes that you can do with children to immerse yourself in autumn in Trentino.
